BXH-103 Phosphorus-free high temperature corrosion inhibitor concentrate

High-temperature corrosion inhibitors have traditionally had to be phosphorus-based. This one is not: it inhibits effectively under vacuum at 220–360 °C, and avoids fouling, blockage and unplanned shutdowns of downstream units such as hydrotreating caused by phosphorus-containing high-temperature inhibitors.

The comprehensive costs of the two are equivalent after conversion based on effective content. Formulators usually purchase raw solutions and prepare them themselves; it is more convenient for terminal refineries to directly purchase preparations.

BXH-103 Core technical features of concentrate

  • 🔬 Decomposition temperature>500°C: Far superior to ordinary imidazoline (decomposed at ~350°C), it still maintains a complete molecular structure under high temperature conditions of 300°C and continues to form film protection.
  • 🌿 True phosphorus-free formula: Phosphorus content <0.001%, meeting the "Refining Wastewater Total Phosphorus ≤ 1 mg/L" emission standard, replacing high-temperature corrosion inhibitors containing phosphorus, solving both corrosion and compliance problems at once
  • 🔩 High corrosion inhibition rate: According to Sinopec industry standards (280°C/acid value 12 mgKOH/g), the corrosion inhibition rate is ≥85%
  • 💧 Low usage and high cost performance: 32-35% raw solution can be formulated into 1 ton of product (preparation multiple is about 3 times), and the ex-factory price is competitive based on the effective content.
  • 🔄 Does not affect downstream: Does not contain Cl or heavy metals, will not poison the catalyst, does not affect oil quality, and corrosion products will not block the injection agent pump.

Concentrate usage guide

BXH-103 concentrate has high viscosity and cannot be pumped directly. It needs to be diluted as follows before use:

  • 📌 dilution solvent: It is recommended to use aromatic hydrocarbon solvents such as benzene, toluene, xylene, straight-run diesel (200#), etc., and cannot be diluted with water.
  • 📌 dilution ratio: Usually diluted at 1:1-1:2 (concentrate: solvent, volume ratio), the effective content after dilution is about 45-60%, and the viscosity is reduced to facilitate injection by metering pumps
  • 📌 Injection concentration: Use a high temperature medium flow meter, it is recommended to dilute to a concentration of 20-35% before use; use a corrosive medium flow meter to inject a concentration of 5-25 ppm; high acid value crude oil (TAN>2 mgKOH/g) can be increased to 80 mg/L
  • 📌 injection temperature: The diluent should be injected below 60°C to avoid instant evaporation of the solvent in the pipeline.
  • 📌 Injection location: The injection point of the normal and vacuum high temperature section is selected in front of the heat exchanger inlet; the FCC oil slurry line injection point is selected at the outlet of the circulation pump
